As most people know, Jessica Simpson underwent a gruelling exercise and diet regime to lose weight for her role in Dukes Of Hazzard. Here's a still of her from her music video for 'These Boots Are Made for Walking'. She would definitely be considered a 'skinny celebrity' in this picture and at the time there was a lot of gossip about how she did it.

Weight News: Is Fat Contagious?

It sounds like rubbish gossip, but yes, a new study out recently suggests that obesity or weight gain is "socially contagious." In other words, if someone you call a friend becomes obese, your chances of joining her rise by 57 percent—even if she lives across the country, believe it or not. It's not that an actual bug is being passed from person to person; rather, it's that the more subtle transmission of behaviors (picture this: you start joining your friend at his weekly pizza and beer fest and participating in other such activities) or social norms (a much-admired college roommate is 20 pounds heavier since your last get-together) appears to alter a person's perception of what's OK. Perhaps it explains why most skinny celebrities hang out with other thin people. hmmm....

Skinny celeb Hillary Duff and her everchanging weight is featured on many gossip or news websites. Here's a couple of pictures of Hillary Duff going out for some breakfast in Calif yesterday. She looks fine from the waist up, but the monstrosity below beggars belief.

... Well atleast there's one thing going for her, and that is she looks remarkably thin considering what she's wearing!

Skinny Kate Bosworth On Anorexia Gossip

Along with various pictures, Kate also spoke briefly about the anorexia gossip (following her severe weight loss) that went around during the summer that Superman hit the screens. Apparently she'd just split with Orlando Bloom and a famiy member had become terminally ill. 'No matter how much I ate, it didn't matter. I hold all my emotions in the pit of my stomach, so it became difficult to eat'. ..

...this does make sense because some people can lose huge amounts of weight when they are stressed. But it seems a little strange that she still remains very thin (atleast in my eyes).

Kate is often shown on skinny celeb news websites, no doubt in part because of her absolutely gorgeous face.

'The Forgotton Brazilian Supermodel'

Skinny Ana Beatriz Barros is on the cover and in the pages of the June 2008 issue of GQ magazine. I've never really been a fan (she always seems to have a dazed or hungry look in her eyes) but she looks fabulous weight-wise here, albeit a little risque in the pictures :) ...

It's quite weird though because my boyfriend seems to disagree with me and finds her a little too shapeless for his liking (?), which is definitely news to me.

Skinny celeb Nadine found fame in the UK as part of the British girl band 'Girls Aloud'. She has also dated the very good looking Jesse Metcalfe, with lots of gossip about other famous people she's interested in! Supermodel Heidi Klum Struts Her Stuff At A Recent Charity Event

I'm about the same height as skinny celebrity or model Heidi Klum (5'10") and she's always been an inspiration to me weight-wise. Her measurements are reported as 35-24-34 (119lbs), although i'm sure that 3 pregnancies, let alone losing the weight in record time, have had their effects. There's quite a lot of gossip about how she did it, but David Kirsch himself quoted in various news websites that Heidi did about 3 hours of exercise daily and followed his 900 calorie programme (consisting of protein shakes, lean protein and veg/salad) to lose the baby weight. She even wrote an extract in his book, only to go on Oprah and basically say it was all down to healthy eating. celebs eh? Here are a few pictures...
